This edition of SJCL Today opens with interviews of two of the founders of the Law School. Oliver Wanger was a young attorney back in 1969 when he was approached to help in the formation of San Joaquin College of Law. He later served as a Federal Judge for 20 years before returning to private practice with the firm Wanger, Jones, and Helsley and also making a return to teaching at SJCL. Founder John Loomis has retired from the practice of law, but has continued to serve on the SJCL Board of Trustees since 1969. Three years ago, the President of France named him a "Chevalier" in honor of his WWII military service.
