Gov. Gavin Newsom tapped Guerra for the Fifth District Court of Appeals.

The Honorable Mary Thornton (Law '08) has been reappointed by Governor Newsom to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Board of Parole Hearings, where she has served since 2019.

Tomas Ross (Law '13) has been admitted into the American Board of Trial Advocates, San Joaquin Valley Chapter.

Rena Harrison (Law '19) is now a Deputy District Attorney III working in Child Support at the Madera County District Attorney's Office.

Sean Quint (Law '21) has joined the Fresno County District Attorney's Office as a Deputy District Attorney.

Jeffrey Castleton (Law '17) is a Deputy District Attorney with the Merced County District Attorney's Office.

Rose Oregel Gonzalez (Law '22) is has joined the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as a Judicial Law Clerk.

Lisa M. Horton (Law '09) has opened her own law practice, Law Offices of Lisa M. Horton.  Her legal focus will be on probate/trust matters, conservatorship/guardianships, and unlawful detainers and estate planning.

Samantha Williamson (Law '21) is now an Associate Attorney at Tipton Legal.

Carla Khal (Law '93) has joined the law firm Kahn, Soares & Conway, LLP in Hanford.  Carla brings 27 years of experience in family law to the firm.

Ivan Martinez (Law '17) has joined Wood, Smith, Henning and Berman in Los Angeles as an Associate Attorney practicing transportation, habitability, premises liability, construction defect and medical malpractice.

Tomas Ross (Law '13) has joined the Drake Law Firm in Los Angeles as a Senior Trial Attorney representing catastrophic injury victims throughout California.  He will be opening and managing the firm's first Fresno office in 2024.

Joslyn Hillberg (Law' 21) is now a Judicial Staff Attorney with the Fresno County Superior Court.

Andrea Chapman (Law '17) has opened Chapman Law, P.C.  Previously an attorney at Coleman & Horowitt, LLP, she is experienced in the areas of Banking & Finance, Collection & Creditor Rights, Construction Law, Litigation, and Real Estate Law.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Andrea served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic for the F/A-18 Legacy and Super Hornet fighter jets in the U.S. Navy.
