We begin this edition of SJCL Today with the lecture "May I Purchase Your Vote? Lawyers, Speech, and Money in the Age of Corporations." That was the title of the 2012 Constitution Day event. San Joaquin College of Law Constitutional Law Professor Jeffrey G. Purvis took on the topic and its First Amendment implications in light of a recent US Supreme Court decisions related to campaign donations and corporations portrayed as people, presumably with all First Amendment rights.
