The San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis got a $10,000 boost from Pacific Gas & Electric Co.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co.'s Senior Government Relations Representative Jeanette Ishii presents $10,000 to the board of trustees for the San Joaquin College of Law.
It is the latest gift from supporters of the college over the years, including homebuilder Granville Homes, the law firm of Baradat & Paboojian, Inc. and Walmart.
Besides training future attorneys and paralegals, the donations help the college in other activities like moot court competitions and its San Joaquin Agriculture Law Review published annually by students.
The school, located at 901 5th St. in Clovis, also relies on community support to operate the New American Legal Clinic, which provides naturalization and Visa services to the area's immigrant population.
PG&E's said the $10,000 grant comes from shareholder and employee donations and not from ratepayers.
The utility has given more than $40 million dollars in donations to educational commitments over the past decade.
