(L-R) The Honorable Jon Conklin, SJCL student Kyle Roberson, SJCL student Bryon Clay, AUSA Stan Boone, and SJCL student Tim Jolly.
San Joaquin College of Law students took on teams from virtually every major law school in the state once again at this year’s Traynor Moot Court Competition in April. While the SJCL Traynor Team did not win a brief or argument award, this marks the third year in a row that an SJCL student did win “Outstanding Individual Achievement in Oral Argument.” Tim Jolly brought home the recognition this year. The Hon. Jonathan Conklin, who coached the team along with Assistant U.S. Attorney Stan Boone, adds “Bryon Clay performed equally well but, due to the subjectivity of the judging, did not receive similar recognition. We had some great judges this year which did make for a very worthwhile competition. The team held their own against some powerhouse schools. SJCL should be proud.”
