How did the eleven SJCL alumni react when they got word they passed the February Bar? One ran through a screen door and jumped into the pool. Twice. Another fell off her chair as her name came up on the computer screen. She began to cry, not in pain, but because she would “never have to go through this again!” Eight of the eleven managed to make it to the traditional Champagne Reception for Bar Passers at the Law School. They included Daniel “DJ” Brickey, who was in Las Vegas for a buddy’s bachelor’s party, but grabbed a quick afternoon flight back to town so he wouldn’t miss the celebrated “Staircase Picture.” His wife pleaded with fellow celebrants to wait another five minutes as her husband frantically drove to the Law School for that storied shot.
The new attorneys will be sworn in at Fresno City Hall on Wednesday, June 1st at 3 p.m.
