Cindy Wathen holds a Juris Doctor from San Joaquin College of Law. Her publishing credits include Remembering Cesar: The Legacy of Cesar Chavez, the first book to be endorsed by the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation and the winner of the Valley Independent Publishers gold medal award for history. She has worked as an acquisition coordinator for McGraw-Hill and senior editor and publicist for Quill Driver Books. Most recently, she was an assistant acquisitions editor and art researcher for The University of California Press, where she helped develop the New California Poetry Series, the California Natural History Guide program, and the Mark Twain Papers.
