SJCL is sad to report the passing of Earla Phebus (Law '87) at the age of 82. After working as a social worker and paralegal Earla completed law school and passed the bar while raising her children. She loved her career as an attorney and served for 25 years before retiring in 2010.
We note with sadness the passing of Patricia Sharon Harter (Law '95) on February 22, 2024. Patricia worked for Quinlan, Kershaw and Fanucchi as a paralegal before attending SJCL. Upon graduating and passing the bar the same year, she returned to the firm as a probate and family law attorney. In 2003 she became a Decision Writer for the Social Security Administration where she worked until her retirement in 2019.
Christopher Noyes (Law '09) passed away suddenly on September 6, 2023. Christopher was a partner at Kabateck LLP in Los Angeles where he served for nearly 10 years as a seasoned trial lawyer with expertise in personal injury, class actions, insurance bad faith, and business litigation cases.
