Courses Taught
Michael Ting teaches Contracts I and II at San Joaquin College of Law. He also serves as Legal Counsel for Litigation and Dispute Resolution at KRAFTON Americas, where he advises one of the world's leading video game companies on complex commercial, employment, intellectual property, shareholder, and other high-stakes litigation matters.
Before joining KRAFTON, Professor Ting practiced for nearly twenty years at nationally recognized law firms, including Goodwin Procter, Orrick, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Baker Botts, and was a partner at both TechKnowledge Law Group and Amin, Turocy & Watson. His practice has focused on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, appellate advocacy, and strategic counseling for technology companies. He has represented clients in hundreds of federal patent cases, served as trial counsel in federal courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission, and advised companies on litigation strategy, licensing, and intellectual property matters. In addition to his work at KRAFTON, he is an adjunct professor in the Master's of Biotechnology Program at San José State University, where he teaches intellectual property law.
Professor Ting earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was a Merit Scholar, served on the Interdisciplinary Law Journal, and held leadership positions in several student organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in Molecular Cell Biology and Psychology.
