Professor Busani is a Fresno attorney whose practice focuses primarily on ERISA employee benefits litigation, including health, disability, and life insurance benefit denials. She has also represented clients in federal and state courts in matters involving insurance bad faith, Social Security disability, civil rights, and personal injury, and has argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her practice is dedicated to helping individuals navigate complex legal and administrative systems while advocating for fairness and accountability.
Beyond her legal practice, Professor Busani is deeply committed to legal education and public service. She serves on the Board of Trustees of San Joaquin College of Law, is Vice Chair of the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District Board of Directors, and has participated on its Community Relations, Administrative, and Policy Committees. She is also the Programming Director for the Fresno Reel Pride LGBTQ+ Film Festival and co-founder of Law Students for Community Advancement, a San Joaquin College of Law student organization dedicated to community engagement and public-interest advocacy.
When she is not practicing law or serving her community, Professor Busani enjoys spending time with her partner, gardening, dancing when the occasion presents itself, and drawing whenever she can find a moment to sit still.
