Sally Moreno has been with the Madera County District Attorney’s office for four years. Her career has been guided by her need to balance time between family and her love of the law. Sally began her career with the police department in Los Angeles, and served additionally in the military police. She realized that her favorite part of law enforcement was the law itself, and that she wanted to be a prosecutor. Sally worked part time as a reserve officer while attending law school at night. She chose night class because she wanted to be with other students who were hard working and experienced. After graduating from SJCL she went to work in Merced as a prosecutor. Upon the arrivals of her children, Sally redirected her career in order to be more available for her family. She worked at different times in the Court of Appeals and the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office. A self-titled prosecutor at heart, Sally said she enjoys the challenge of building cases. “When it’s done well, I can help to make my community better,” she said.
