Trial Attorney

Born and raised in Fresno, Rene obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Fresno State and her Juris Doctorate from SJCL in 1988. She spent the first eight years of her career as an insurance defense attorney for McCormick, Barstow and then the following five years as in house counsel for Allstate Insurance. In 2000, Rene and her former partner at McCormick, Stephen Cornwell, opened their own plaintiff’s civil litigation firm. Rene and her partner specialize in jury trial litigation and they are both active members of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization of lawyers known for their willingness to take cases to jury trial and their commitment to legal ethics.
