Parker Douglas has extensive trial and appellate experience, both in criminal and civil matters, in federal court. He is currently the Criminal Justice Managing Attorney for the Eastern District of California, administering a panel of lawyers providing counsel to people accused of federal crime who cannot afford to retain counsel. He is also a pro bono Senior Fellow at the Institute for Free Speech in Washington, D.C. Previously, he was a Supreme Court Fellow, serving in the Office of the Counselor to Chief Justice John G. Roberts. He was also Utah’s Federal Solicitor in the Office of the Utah Attorney General, managing and litigating Utah's trial, appellate, and amicus matters in all federal courts. He also has spent about half of his career so far as an Assistant Federal Defender and was a member in the Supreme Court and Appellate, White Collar and Government Regulatory sections of Latham & Watkins, LLP in Washington, D.C. He clerked for both Judge Michael W. McConnell at the Tenth Circuit and Judge Tena Campbell in the U.S. District Court for Utah.
