Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as point of contact for the resolution of client issues and complaints
- Provide legal guidance for clients
- Meet with clients to review potential settlement offers and assist in reaching resolution of claims
- Ability to travel to and from firm appearances/engagements
- Effectively negotiate settlements including all aspects of liability and damages
- Develop strategic approach and provide leadership/direction to paralegals
- Diligent review of court filings and related litigation documents
- Actively manage a wide range of pre-litigation and litigation cases both directly and through a team
- Perform legal research on relevant issues during the pre-litigation process and throughout the course of litigation
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Prepare summons, complaints, and other responsive pleadings for filing with the appropriate court
- Attend mediation, depositions, and other court appearances
- Review and edit demands
Qualifications:
- License to practice law in California and current good standing with CA State Bar is required
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and social skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Personal Injury terminology
- Bilingual is preferred (English/Spanish) *Salary range between $100,000 - $175,000 (depending on experience)
