Ms. Tennerelli was hired as Dean of Students at San Joaquin College of Law in 2020 and currently teaches Civil Procedure I and II. She has previously taught Legal Methods I and II and Legal Process at the law school and is the proud recipient of the SJCL Student Bar Association Full-Time Faculty of the Year Award for both 2021 and 2022. She is also an adjunct professor and former pre-law counselor at Fresno City College, where she has taught courses on Law and Democracy and Civic Engagement and Leadership. Prior to working in higher education, she practiced law at Goldberg Kohn in Chicago, IL.

Dean Tennerelli graduated from the University of Chicago Law School with Honors and was a member of The University of Chicago Law Review. During her time in law school, she received the Lord, Bissell & Brook Award for Outstanding Brief in the law school's moot court competition, worked as a Public Interest Law Fellow for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Illinois, and assisted with an employment discrimination class action lawsuit through the school's Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic. In addition to her J.D., she has a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis on student affairs and college counseling from California State University, Fresno. She earned dual B.A. degrees in English and Political Science, with Highest Honors in English and High Distinction in General Scholarship, from the University of California, Berkeley.
