Carter Law Group, a civil litigation firm in Fresno, California, has a career opportunity for a Full-time Personal Injury Case Manager. The Case Manager will work directly with the Attorney and members of the Personal Injury department within the Firm. The Case Manager must be highly organized, possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent attention to detail, and solid communication skills.

Primary duties/responsibilities:
- Assist in locating and retrieving files as requested by management
- File SR-1 and SR-19 as indicated
- Provide coverage when other Case Managers are out on vacation or as needed
- Open new PI files and request records accordingly
- Request file records as instructed by Attorney
- Request medical and billing records
- Organize medical and billing records, open claims with Medi-Cal, Medicare and other lien holders
- Gather case costs and final bills upon settlement
- Assist opening health insurance claims on behalf of clients and overseeing the process and handle related correspondence accordingly
- Request traffic collision reports electronically, by mail and in person from various law enforcement agencies
- Communicate with clients as needed regarding appointments and work with clients to provide required documents on files as required by Attorney
- Provide support to the staff and Attorney in obtaining lien reductions and preparing breakdowns
- Draft and send demands/letters and provide administrative support
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management and/or Attorney
Competencies/Skills:
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Ability to pay very close attention to detail
- Possess strong organizational, analytical, and clerical skills
- Basic Knowledge of Personal Injury laws and procedures; and
- Computer skills such as MS Office and Case management software.
- This position requires physical activity including but not limited to bending, stooping, repetitive motion, and lifting of up to 20 pounds. This position may also require sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience working in a law firm or similar environment
- Minimum high school diploma
Pay Range: $22-$25
