Attorney Stefanie Krause

The BREN Clinic continues its Learn at Lunch series in conversation with Attorney Stefanie Krause, who will discuss special needs conservatorships on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, 12:10-12:50p.

Ms. Krause was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley. She graduated as Valedictorian of Clovis High School, graduated with high honors from Fresno State with a major in political science and a minor in philosophy, and graduated No. 1 in her class at San Joaquin College of Law. She has been an attorney since 2000.

Stefanie previously practiced in the areas of insurance defense, litigation, fraud investigation, and animal law. In 2009, Stefanie opened her own practice, which practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, conservatorships, guardianships, trust administration, and probate litigation. Her sole proprietorship has grown and is now a law firm called Krause Law P.C.

Along with her law practice, Stefanie is an adjunct professor at San Joaquin College of Law. She has taught Animal Law, Legal Process, and Advanced Research and Writing.

As part of her practice, Stefanie has handled conservatorships for the families of adults with special needs. She has written and helped administer Special Needs Trust, both as private trusts and as court-supervised trusts.

Last year, the Fresno County Superior Court started appointing Stefanie as the court-appointed attorney for adults possibly in need of a conservatorship.

Stefanie has served as a Board Member, Treasurer, and President of the San Joaquin College of Law Alumni Association and is part of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Fresno County Bar Association.
