This Hanford native graduated from California State University, Fresno and worked for Governor Brown during his first administration from 1975 to 1983.  She also ran her own public relations firm before graduating from San Joaquin College of Law in 1995. Dooley opened a private practice for a while, then worked for the Tulare County Superior Court...

SJCL Founder Returns to the Classroom

If there is a silver lining to the retirement of U.S. District Judge Oliver Wanger, you’ll find it in the classroom at San Joaquin College of Law. Wanger co-founded the Law School 40 years ago and taught classes for the first 20 years of its existence, but left after he was appointed to the Federal Bench in 1991.  He has now returned, co-teaching “Constitutional Torts and Civil Rights” with former Senior Deputy Fresno City Attorney Melissa White (Law ’96).

SJCL Scores Third Place in National Moot Court Competition

Congratulations to the San Joaquin College of Law team, which took third place at the UC Davis Asylum & Refugee Law National Moot Court Competition this past weekend! SJCL students Gary Caine, Jesse Molina, and Christina Widner took on 20 teams from 15 other law schools, ranging from Cornell and Pepperdine to Columbia and Notre Dame.

SJCL Announces a Day Division

SJCL announces the initiation of a Day Division starting in August of 2012. The Day Division offers an exciting opportunity for students seeking to complete law school in three years. Day Division students will attend law school full time 4 days a week during the regular school year. They can complete their course work in three years without having to attend summer school. This will give students the opportunity to work full time in legal settings, in or outside the Valley, during their summers.
