Neither Rain nor Wind nor Portentous Forecasts…
By Diane Skouti, SJCL Alumni Coordinator

Despite the ominous weather forecasts for wind, rain, doom, and gloom, the team from the Law Office of Lance Armo took the first place spot in the 14th Annual San Joaquin College of Law Judy Wiseman Memorial Golf Tournament on April 8th.  Nearly 50 hearty golfers came prepared to brave the storm, but like a scene from the movie “The Ten Commandments,” the threatening clouds parted after the starting shot, allowing streams of sunshine to beam down upon the rain soaked grass. The gorgeous green space of Dragonfly Golf Club glowed as if it had been staged, complete with cotton tail bunnies hopping about, carefree. As the last foursome made their way back to the clubhouse, the clouds again let loose with a sudden downpour, as if on cue. It would seem that the mission of the annual fundraiser (student scholarships and programs for the Law School) was deemed worthy of a little help in the weather department, as a terrific time was had by all.
