• Student discovers opportunity to do a clinical.
  • Student fills out Clinical Information Form and Clinical Course Outline with supervising attorney.
  • Student talks to the Director of Career Services about clinical, she approves it and assigns a course number and unit value.
  • Student registers and pays tuition.

These steps must be completed prior to accruing hours for which a student intends to receive clinical credit. Registrar puts clinical into computer with the Dean or her designee as supervising instructor and an “I” as an interim grade.

  • Registrar runs a grade sheet for that clinical and puts it into the “Ongoing Clinicals” file.
  • Student completes 72 hours (1 unit) of work and submits the Clinical Course Outline, Daily Time Log and 10 pages of written material per unit to the Director of Career Services.
  • Upon reported completion, Registrar sends supervising attorney a student evaluation form.
  • Attorney completes and returns form, stating the student has or has not fulfilled their assigned responsibilities.
  • Registrar assembles Clinical Information Form, Clinical Course Outline, writing sample(s), Daily Time Log, evaluation form and grade sheet and gives to the Director of Career Services to review, sign and date.
  • Director of Career Services returns materials, Registrar enters a grade in the computer and files all supporting materials in student’s file.
